About this exhibition
Two years ago as part of SALA 2021 Greg & glen r produced their first online exhibition Icons which explored decaying rural buildings & landscapes.
This year, Greg chose to explore of one of the icons of the Barossa Vintage Festival: the Barossa Scarecrows. These (now rarely seen) rural paraphernalia straw-stuffed identities have been a staple of Vintage Festivals ever since they were first introduced almost 30 years ago.
These parallel suites of images capture two same-same but distinctly different versions of these transient iconoclastic artworks & dying real world artform.
